Dr. Simon Abelson serves as Medical Director at Kinder in the Keys, where he oversees intake physical exams, ongoing medical follow-up, and the supervision of nursing and nurse practitioner staff. He has been Board Certified in Internal Medicine since 2004, holds an active Florida medical license and DEA registration, and serves as Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Florida International University.

Dr. Abelson earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Lankenau Hospital in Pennsylvania. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Delaware, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, and Psi Chi. His career includes roles as Chief of Hospital Medicine at West Kendall Baptist Hospital and Principal Investigator for FDA-approved clinical research at Advanced Pharma in Miami.
