Joan Lorenzo serves as Executive Director, bringing over a decade of mental health experience to her leadership role. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling, and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) currently completing her doctoral dissertation in psychology as a doctoral candidate. Her clinical background spans schools, group homes, and hospitals, where she has provided trauma-focused individual, family, and group therapy.
Joan is trained in evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and psychodrama, and complements her clinical work with a 250-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Vinyasa Flow. At Kinder in the Keys, she oversees clinical standards and develops programming designed to support each client’s recovery from trauma and addiction through an integrated mind, body, and soul approach.
