Joan’s academic journey reflects her dedication to understanding the complexities of human psychology and mental health. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, followed by a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling. Joan is currently completing her doctoral dissertation with a focus in psychology and has earned the academic achievement of doctoral candidate. Further enriching her knowledge and practice, she completed a 250-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) in Vinyasa Flow Yoga, adding a physical and spiritual dimension to her therapeutic approach.

Her roles have encompassed one-on-one therapy, family therapy, and group sessions—all with a primary focus on trauma.
